How old does my child have to be to be considered for Kindergarten?

Does LES have a transitional Kindergarten program?
LES holds an optional Kindergarten “Camp” in August before the regular school year begins. During these two weeks (with noon dismissal) the newest members of our community get to know their new teachers in a camp-like atmosphere as they become famililar with their classroom and LES campus. When the regular school year begins, our kindergarteners have an easier time separating from their parents because they are more comfortable, confident, and eager to be with their new friends and teachers.

What is the LES tuition assistance program?
Los Encinos School’s tuition assistance program provides students and families an opportunity to attend the school when it would not have otherwise been an option. Since 1980 LES has awarded 9.7 million dollars to its community. Currently, approximately 30% of our student body receives tuition assistance. We use FAST (Financial Aid for Student Tuition) to help us determine eligibility. We try to extend the budget to accommodate everyone’s needs; all interested families are encouraged to apply.
