ILENE REINFELD
Biography as of June 2024

Ilene Reinfeld  started her career in the public schools as a teacher and held various leadership roles leading up to her current role as head of school at LES where she just completed her 21st year.

Initially drawn to a career in Child Psychology, Ilene enrolled in Pitzer College in Claremont and received a degree in Child Development and Psychology. Later, she changed her focus towards teaching and earned her credential from UCLA and her Masters in school administration from Pepperdine University.

In 2012, she was awarded a fully-funded fellowship to the distinguished Klingenstein Center at Columbia University. A lifelong learner, Ilene promotes a “whole child” educational philosophy and always encourages all members of the community to put forth their “best selves.”
