An accreditation team representing the California Association of Independent Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges toured the school this year and we received a seven year accreditation from both CAIS and WASC (the longest term allowed, which indicates their great confidence in our program). The team highlighted our successful strategic plan implementation, which included the clarification of our school mission and the brand development of Think Big, Start Small, as well as the development of the new building. The report emphasized the very dedicated teachers, administration, and staff who are doing a wonderful job of implementing and supporting an integrated program that is evident throughout the school, as well as creating an environment for students that is conducive to high level learning and individualism. They were equally impressed by our loving community and the commitment and dedication of all constituent groups to our school’s mission and culture. Congratulations are in order for this achievement, as we continue to build a kind, thriving, learning community for all.

Climate & Community Videos
As part of the accreditation process, we were asked to provide examples of the “Climate & Community” of Los Encinos School in short video form.  Below are the videos we provided that describe our Parent Association, Professional Development, Multi-Age Opportunities, Community Events, and Service Learning. Click a thumbnail below to play the individual video, or the final thumbnail is a compilation of all the videos.
