Remembering Marty Schwartz

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Marty Schwartz on October 24, 2026. As a founding member and the first President of the Los Encinos School Board of Directors, Marty played an instrumental role in shaping the school we know and love today.

From the earliest days of Los Encinos School, Marty embraced the vision of creating a special place where children could learn, grow, and thrive. Alongside fellow founders, he helped turn that vision into reality, taking on the challenges of establishing a new school with dedication, determination, and heart. His leadership in fundraising and his unwavering commitment to the school’s success helped lay the foundation for generations of students to come.

For Marty, Los Encinos was always more than a school. It was a family legacy. A proud father to Stacy, Zach, and Carrie, he experienced the joy of watching his own children flourish at LES and, years later, had the special privilege of seeing three of his grandchildren (Stella, Oliver, and Felix Bernstein) follow in their footsteps.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire family. Marty will forever be an integral part of the Los Encinos School story.
