STRONGER TOGETHER

It has been inspiring to watch how quickly our community adapted to our new, albeit temporary, normal of “safer at home” and “at home” learning. We are all trying our best to strike a balance between our home and work lives. Through the “power of small,” we’ve been able to maintain a sense of connectedness.  Our community is like no other!

There is no doubt our world will be forever changed post-Coronavirus, and the Board of Trustees has moved quickly to ensure LES will successfully navigate through this crisis. During this unfamiliar time, we have leaned into our mission, which is a constant reminder of what we do, who we serve, and who we want to be as a community. One line in particular has stood out as a guiding light: At LES, “our reach extends not only to the child, but also to the family.”

With that in mind, the Board of Trustees has created Stronger Together. Seeded with Board donations and emergency funds, this money will provide additional temporary tuition assistance for the 2020-21 school year to help keep our families enrolled. The  money will also ensure our entire faculty and staff will remain whole through the end of this school year. You have supported LES, many of you for several years, and we want to make sure we show up for you in this unprecedented time.

With the creation of Stronger Together and the cancellation of the annual gala fundraiser, we have had to completely rework the LES budget. Every decision we’ve made is in an effort to keep our community together. With that being said, many of you have asked…

How can I help?

A donation of any amount to Stronger Together will help raise critical funds to support our entire community. If you are interested in helping today with a cash gift, or an item for the auction, please follow this link: losencinosschool.org/stronger-together

Another way for you to help is to mark Saturday, May 16th on your calendar and plan on attending our on-line Stronger Together event from 8:00pm – 9:00pm. It will be a time for us to virtually come together as a community and make a real difference. We’ll take part in silent and live auctions, enjoy some entertainment, and share a few laughs.  More details to come.

We look forward to when we can be in person together, when we will celebrate our campus return in true LES style. In the meantime, we are so grateful for all your support, and we know we’ll emerge from this crisis, Stronger Together.

Please reach out to Ilene to let us know if there is anything we can do to support your family.
