Annual Report 2021-2022

Revenue & Expenses

by Nicole Pennington

Meeting the needs of the Los Encinos School community remained the focus of the Administration, Faculty, Staff, and Board of Trustees during the 2021-2022 school year.  With students on campus full-time, the school continued to operate virtual and hybrid programs as necessary.  The exciting news of the year was the addition of a dedicated math specialist, and the re-introduction in the spring of field trips, overnight trips, in person opportunities for parents, enrichment classes, full summer camp, and in-person professional development for faculty and staff.

As inflation began to rise throughout the year and with pandemic costs still ongoing, the school absorbed increased expenses without making programmatic sacrifices.  The Administration simultaneously remained committed to continuing the increased levels of tuition assistance seen in the prior year.  Throughout the economic challenges of the year, the Administration and Board maintained the school’s strong financial standing as well as their commitment to the Los Encinos School mission, community and long range sustainability.
