With each grade tackling a variety of service projects that are age-appropriate to their understanding and abilities (see Jenny Lapidus’ article here<\/a>), to the school-wide initiatives that include the parents’ involvement like the JDRF One Walk and Beautification Day on campus, I am proud to say that Los Encinos School “walks the talk.”<\/p>\n With Valerie at the helm, our Art Show<\/a> continues to amaze me as it seems to get more dazzling year after year.\u00a0 The children are clearly excited to show off their work to the parents, grandparents, and special friends who come to visit.\u00a0 It’s always exciting to see alumni return as well, reminiscing about their own art show and reconnecting with friends and teachers.<\/p>\n Of course, this Annual Report cannot possibly encapsulate every extraordinary moment we experienced in 2018-2019, but it wouldn’t be complete without mentioning one of the most astonishing achievements: 100% participation in the LES Fund<\/a> for the sixth year in a row!<\/p>\n Why the LES Fund is so critical to our mission is due mainly to the “extras” Los Encinos School is able to offer, and those things which make an LES education unparalleled in the world of independent schooling… it’s the generosity of the community that makes it all possible.<\/p>\n
