Virtues and Values

Los Encinos School’s Virtues and Values Program helps our students learn to problem-solve and be thoughtful citizens using a common language. This emphasis on character education highlights many life skills that are necessary for our students to develop into critical thinkers, curious individuals, and ethical human beings.

The virtues and values listed below have been refined from the previous school year; they make up the shared values that are independently taught in grades K-2 and are continuously reinforced in grades 3-6. Each month of the 2018-2019 school year, one value serves as a theme across all grade levels.

    Authenticity – September
    Collaboration – October
    Gratitude & Joy – November
    Empathy
    Creativity
    Sense of Humor
    Integrity
    Resilience
    Curiosity
    Responsibility
