READING A WORLD

“People are storytellers – they tell narratives about their experiences and the meanings that these experiences have for their lives.” – Joseph Cornell

This year we will explore the kindred expressions of art, language, and storytelling through our school wide theme : Stories All Around Us. Stories are a universal form of communication told through various media and for a variety of reasons. Students will connect the arts to language and literature all while exploring their own tales to tell.

WHATS IN A NAME?

Students design stacking letters as they research the meaning of their names and interpret these stories through imagery.

STILL LIFE OBSERVATION!

We explore how objects tell stories and begin to combine them in thoughtful still life compositions.

READING SPOTS!

Kindergarten recalls their favorite reading spot…a place their library books can be enjoyed and kept safe!
