Admissions Process

We seek to make the admissions process at Los Encinos School easy and accessible. We are happy to answer your questions, and invite you to begin the information gathering process by attending one of our weekly admissions tours. We believe that the best way for you to learn about our school is to visit and to observe the magic of students and teachers in action.

Each small-group school tour is led by Ilene Reinfeld, Head of School, and provides a time for you to ask any and all questions you might have about the Los Encinos experience. Affording Los Encinos School

We understand that for many families the cost of an independent school education may be more than what their family budget can accommodate.  The Los Encinos School Tuition Assistance Program strives to make sure that if a child and family are a good match for the school, then finances will not prevent that child from attending. 

As a school that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, Los Encinos uses the tuition assistance program to ensure that we are a socio-economically diverse community.  In fact, nearly 25% of our students receive tuition assistance.  You also may be surprised to learn that the average family income of a tuition assistance recipient is $145,000.   

In addition to need-based grants, Los Encinos School offers several payment plan options that allow a family to spread tuition out over the year.  Tuition Assistance awards are confidential and are determined by the Tuition Assistance Committee.  Applying for assistance does not guarantee an award as decisions are based on need, availability of funds, and the number of qualified applicants.
